Measurement of NISTmAb aggregation with mass photometry, AUC, and DLS​

This tech note presents analyses of aggregation of the antibody standard NISTmAb using three column-free techniques: Mass photometry (MP), analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), and dynamic light scattering (DLS). Samples of NISTmAb, an antibody reference standard from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, were assessed before and after exposure to heat stress. The results showed that MP quickly analyzes antibody aggregation, with accuracy comparable to AUC and resolution superior to DLS. Mass photometry is also faster and easier to use than AUC and uses much smaller sample amounts than AUC or DLS.
